Mountain Flying/Checkout
Flying through the rockies is one of the most jaw dropping, awe-inspiring experiences a pilot can have. Mountain flying isn’t without risk. Narrow and sloping runways, one-way airports, density altitudes in excess of 10,000 feet and unpredictable and abrupt changes in weather will test any pilot’s decision-making abilities and skills. Here at Rocky Mountain Flight School, we offer individualized training for flying in the mountains.

A mountain flying checkout is REQUIRED before flying west of the continental divide in Colorado, and anything above a terrain elevation of 10,000ft.
